Dr David Mooney: PhD MA LRSM
While David Mooney’s research interests focus principally on performance practice issues relating to French music in the period 1870-1930, he also researches piano teacher education and the history of piano pedagogy in Ireland.
He is also a successful choral arranger, with works regularly performed throughout the US and Europe. The highly-acclaimed David Mooney Irish Choral Series currently includes thirty-one choral arrangements and is published by ECSchirmer in Boston and Stainer and Bell in the UK (2002 – 2010)
David is Chairman of Electric Ireland Feis Ceoil.
He is Head of the Department of Keyboard Studies at the TU Dublin Conservatory of Music and Drama
